Safety is the top priority and Bubblemaker programs are taught only by specially trained instructors in a pool or in a protected open water area to a maximum depth of 5 metres. The PADI Try Scuba or Try Scuba Diving program is your introduction to the underwater world. Sidemount is a scuba gear configuration in which scuba tanks are mounted alongside the diver, below the shoulders and along the hips, rather than on the diver’s back. It started out as a configuration popular with advanced cave divers because of its ability to penetrate smaller cave sections and change tanks more easily. The same advantages for operating in confined spaces were also recognized by divers conducting technical wreck dives. As is common with wreck and cave diving, the configuration of sidemount gear is now being discovered by more and more divers. Everyone should experience the simple, comfortable and weightless feeling of diving without the burden of equipment on their back. Special training is required to dive safely with this configuration, without the necessary preparation and knowledge there may be a safety hazard. Therefore, it is important to have the knowledge, skills and training to make safe sidemount dives. You will learn all about the background, history, advantages and equipment of sidemount diving. With practice, you will learn how to configure and manage your equipment in the water as you realize that buoyancy and movement bring you a new diving experience.
