
Considered one of the most scenic dive sites in the Mnemba Atoll and with a sloping coral wall between 10 to 24 metres, the Aquarium is a superb reef dive for beginners and snorkellers. Hard lettuce corals create a mesmerising backdrop for encounters with remarkable marine creatures.
Some of the inhabitants include: green turtles, goatfish, snappers, bluefin trevallies, butterflyfish, rays, parrotfish, surgeonfish, Moorish idols, wrasses, moray eels, crescent tail big eyes, lionfish, lobsters, silver sweetlips, fusiliers, and bigmouth mackerels.
With depths between 14 and 70 metres and strong currents, Big Wall is best suited for experienced divers in search of a spectacular wall or deep dive. A smooth descent along a vertical wall will reveal glorious overhangs and mysterious caves adorned with soft and hard corals and sponges, while the deeper sections may offer encounters with larger pelagic fish.
Some of the marine animals you may encounter include: moray eels, dolphin fish, lobsters, giant green turtles, tunas, rainbow runners, barracudas, Napoleon wrasse, groupers, rays, unicorn fish, batfish, and hammerhead sharks.
Dropping from 2 to 30 metres, Kichwani is an almost vertical wall that is a great drift, wall, and reef dive and ideal for newbies, experienced divers, and snorkellers. Drift with the gentle current or plunge into the azure depths in search of curious white tip reef sharks and spectacular Napoleon wrasse.
Other marine creatures that are commonly encountered around Kichwani include: torpedo ray, crocodile fish, moray eel, scorpion fish, leaf fish, clownfish, trumpet fish, frogfish, mackerel, snappers, goatfish, and nudibranchs.
Arguably one of the most famous dive sites in Zanzibar, Wattabomi is a sensational underwater landscape that slopes gently from 6 to 30 metres. Wattabomi is great for drift and reef dives and ideal for beginners and experienced divers. Enormous coral bommies and plate corals create a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and a playground for fascinating marine creatures.
Some of the residents include: bottlenose dolphins, angelfish, blue-spotted stingrays, black snappers, groupers, red-toothed triggerfish, flounders, octopuses, scorpionfish, stonefish, frogfish, and trevallies.
Leven Bank is an exhilarating dive site for experienced advanced divers, situated to the north of Zanzibar.
Reef
The extensive reef is an undersea mountain located in the open sea and one of Zanzibar´s best spots for a deep dive. Starting at a depth of 14 meters it gently slopes down to 30+ meters. Due to the current and depth this dive site is suitable for very skilled divers only. There is a variety of brightly glowing hard and soft corals on the reef. Overhead many species of shoaling tropical reef fish attract predators. Most of all the striking colors of both the corals and the reef fish together create a vibrant mid-water experience. This particular effect is enhanced by a great visibility.

Nudibranchs, octopuses, honeycomb moray eels, rainbow runners, barracudas, trevallys, tuna, kingfish and many more.
Nankivell Rock is a sparkling dive site for qualified divers, situated to the northwest of Zanzibar.
Reef
The reef is located in the open sea at a depth range of 10 to 15 meters. It consists of a huge bommie surrounded by small ones, all covered with a variety of beautiful corals. Nankivell Rock is well known for its great visibility and many species of colorful reef fish shoaling. On occasion you may spot a huge grouper.

Hunga Reef is a stunning dive site for qualified divers, situated to the northwest of Zanzibar.
Reef
Hunga is among the best spots to dive in Nungwi. The circular reef is located in the open sea at a depth range of 10 to 17 meters. Special about Hunga are its great visibility and huge bommies covered with a variety of vibrant corals. Overhead many species of shoaling reef fish make a colorful mid-water experience.

Groupers, napoleon wrasses, snappers, crocodile fish, tuna, batfish, unicornfish, redtooth triggerfish, nudibranchs and many more. On rare occasion you may spot eagle rays.
Mbwangawa is a relaxing dive site for both the experienced and inexperienced divers, situated to the northeast of Zanzibar.
Reef
The extensive reef combines hard and soft corals with two areas of plate coral formation. Starting at a depth of 7 meters, it gently slopes down to 18 meters. Mbwangawa is home to beautiful species of colorful reef fish. With a mild current you can enjoy a drift dive along this spot.

Kichafi is an amazing reef for both the experienced and inexperienced divers, situated to the northeast of Zanzibar.
Reef
Kichafi is well known for its breathtaking underwater landscapes. The reef consist of hard and soft corals and is fringed by magnificent, colorful cabbage or plate coral formations. During early morning or late afternoon dives you may spot the occasional cobias, mackerels or big stingrays.

Shane´s Reef is a unique dive site for beginner and qualified divers, situated to the northwest of Zanzibar.
Reef
Shane’s reef is one of Zanzibar’s best spots for macro diving and a haven for underwater photographers. The reef is composed of coral and sandy bottom patches. It starts at a depth of 10 meters and gently descends to 14 meters, followed by a gradual slope down to a depth of 20 meters. The magical site is home to a large variety of fascinating macro marine life and extraordinary sea creatures. Unfortunately, the corals are not in good shape.

Crocodile fish, weedy scorpionfish, frog fish, seahorses, mantis shripms, black-blotched porcupinefish, leaf scorpionfish, spottwing flying gunnards and many more.
Shetani is a vibrant dive site for snorkelers, beginner and qualified divers, situated to the west of Tumbatu Island in Zanzibar.
Reef
The reef is a small coral wall which drops down from 3 to 12 meters, followed by a little slope decending to 16 meters. Most of all the eyecatching colors of the corals at a depth of around 5 meters make a vibrant experience for both the snorkelers and divers.

Ras Misikitini is an impressive dive site for snorkelers, beginner and qualified divers, situated to the northwest of Tumbatu Island in Zanzibar.

The reef is a small coral wall which drops down from 5 to 12 meters. Its bottom holding some coral bommies gently slopes down to a depth of 20 meters.

Mantis shripms, leaf scorpionfish, nudibranchs, frogfish, sea turtles, stingrays, scorpionfish, spottwing flying gunnards, schools of colorful reef fish and many more.
Mwana Wa Mwana is a brilliant dive site for snorkelers, beginner and qualified divers, situated to the northwest of Tumbatu Island in Zanzibar.
Reef
The reef is a terraced coral garden starting shallow at a depth of 3 meters. It gradually decents to a depth of 12 meters. Followed by a sandy bottom which slopes down to a depth of 18 meters.

Frogfish, leaf scorpionfish, mantis shripms, nudibranchs, sea turtles, octopuses, cuttlefish, stingrays, seahorses, schools of colorful reef fish and many more.
A few minutes of navigation is enough to reach many dive sites for divers of all levels. Particularly interesting are the Shanes Reef sites, rich in turtles, octopuses and seahorses; Hunga Reef, with its splendid coral formations on a sandy bottom, and its great variety of reef fish, scorpion fish, scorpion fish, crocodile fish and nudibranchs; Renco, a beautiful pinnacle full of marine life just 5 minutes from our base..
25 minutes aboard our speed boat is enough to reach Leven Bank, in the Pemba Channel. It is a large plateau that rises up to 14 meters from great depths. It is an exciting dive site reserved for expert divers due to the great depth and strong currents that are often encountered. It is the perfect site for those who want to encounter large pelagic species, including large tuna, barracuda and kingfish.
The beautiful island of Tumbatu is surrounded by a ring of coral reef where you can dive or snorkel. Here you will encounter giant groupers, moray eels, stingrays, octopuses and dozens of nudibranchs. Ras Misikitini, with its colorful coral walls, is home to many wonderful giant turtles that are extremely easy to meet. The shallow dive at Mwana Wa Mwana is ideal for demanding divers who want to closely observe rare inhabitants of the coral reef: coral fish (frog-fish), leaf-fish and the Spanish dancer. these are just some of the breeds considered rare elsewhere and which are encountered here on a daily basis. We will also accompany you to our secret spot, a little-frequented area where you will admire decidedly large seahorses (hippocampus).
Mnemba Atoll attracts a large number of divers. The area is a protected marine park, a fascinating place with impressive marine life. Its coral reefs are home to a wide range of marine animals, from tiny shrimp to giant turtles and the giant, sociable whale shark. Two animal species that are very rare elsewhere are easily visible in Mnemba: the dragon moray eel and the Spanish wagtail, the largest nudibranch in the world. More experienced divers can also dive into deeper waters at the Small Wall and Big Wall sites, where it is easy to encounter white tip and mobula sharks. Finally, in Mnemba we meet almost every day entire families of friendly dolphins who often love to spend time with us, almost as if they loved being photographed!
Mnemba, Tumbatu, Leven Bank and the Nungwi/Kendwa area are affected:
- by the passage of the gigantic and sociable whale shark in the period between October and March;
- from the passage of the humpback whales in the period between July and November.
