Welcome to our Kibanda Lodge and Restaurant!

If you dive with us and want to enjoy our first class service also while staying and eating, our Kibanda Lodge and our Italian Restaurant ‘Ombeliko of the World’ in Nungwi should be you first choice!

Our property is only 100 meters from the sea, 50 meters from the village and from the Nungwi diving school (in the extreme north of Zanzibar) and away from the main tourist complexes. Our Bungalows are extremely comfortable, all with air conditioning and ceiling fan. The name Kibanda is Swahili an literally translated stands for « hut ». For us, the hut i s ametaphor for holidays. The hut represents a meeting place where you can share relaxing moments and have interesting conversations. During your stay can turn into a simple holiday into a life experience.

Due to this reason, our Kibanda Lodge was built in a particular position, half way from the inhabited village of Nungwi to the beautiful Nungwi beach. Kibanda is a suitable place for all those who want to be tourists but also travelers. Those who want to satisfy the need for knowledge of the place without giving up to the conveniences. The restaurant, « Ombeliko del Mondo » was born from a flash of inspiration between the owners and the islanders. It is ideally located thanks to the pleasant, constantly ventilated climate. In 2017, we renewed our structure and built new beautiful bungalows, extremely comfortable. We tried to give each and every one a special touch.
