TGI Diving Sorrento has a rinsing pool, an equipment storage room, a technical workshop for equipment repairs, a reception for check-in and check-out, TGI Shop, and a large area for equipment rental, as well as classroom with full audio-visual learning system.
TGI Diving doesn't offer diving safaris.

Yes, for sure you can! In this way you can enjoy your holiday and achieve your licences quickly but with the same degree of expertise. You can buy the PADI Manual in any Padi Shop or by ordering it from our on-line shop.
To buy the courses and the dive packages with the special on-line prices you have to reserve and pay for them on-line at least 48 hours before your arrival.
When you arrive at your hotel you will find a welcome letter from TGI Diving Sorrento, which will contain all the information about how to reach the center and the date for the check in at TGI Diving.
You will be required to deliver your diving license to our staff and, if you have a recent medical condition, a medical certificate may also be required. We need to check your Log Book and you will need to complete a liability release and express assumption of risk form and then we can plan and arrange your dives with you.
We need to know your full name, the name of your hotel and your room number, your arrival and departure dates, the first day you would like to be on the boat, your equipment needs, the number of dives that you wish to do, and a copy of the confirmed booking if you purchased the dives on-line.
A medical certificate is only required in cases with recent medical conditions.
To dive with a TGI Diving Center you have to bring your diving licence and your updated logbook. You will need to bring your equipment if you have it, otherwise you can rent what you need in our center, which is very well stocked.
Yes, for sure you can! You just have to take part in a check dive to feel comfortable again in the water. The check dive is a half hour in confined water during which we test your diver competencies as a licenced diver. It is compulsory if you have less than 50 logged dives and haven't been diving in the past 6 months, or if you have less than 100 logged dives and haven't been diving in the last year. If you haven't been diving for more than a year and a half you may be required to undergo a Scuba Review which is a theorethical lesson and knowledge reviews which will allow you to return more easily to the open water.
Yes, it is. The check dive is free at TGI Diving Sorrento if you continue on to dive with us.
No, you can't. For everybody who wants to try the dive experience or start their discovery of the undersea world TGI Diving offers the Discover Scuba Diving course that will let you make 1 dive after a short theory course and a swimming pool lesson. After your completion of the course we will issue you a Discover Scuba Diving licence with a validity of 1 year.
To start the PADI courses the mimimum age is 10 years.

At TGI Diving Sorrento it depends on the course that you will undertake and also on the payment method. By this account, the OWD and AOW courses include equipment, regardless of the payment method.

No, because these kind of dives are influenced by weather conditions, visibility and sea conditions. These variables mean that the night dives have to be arranged on location. Generally at least one night dive is provided each week.

A refund is possible in special cases like certified sickness. In this case TGI Diving will issue you with an electronic voucher which is usable on-line on our website.
If you cannot make your dive you are required to revoke your reservation prior to 12 p.m. the day before the reservation. If you cancel your reservation after this time, but still the day before, you will be required to pay 50% of the dive price. If you miss the reservation completely, you will not be entitled to refunds or discounts .
The courses do not have established days or dates, but in August the OW Course starts on Monday afternoons to allow completion on the next Sunday.
The dive packages for Sorrento are inclusive of: tanks, weights, boat trip.
TGI Diving does offer snorkeling excursions. You will snorkel with one of our guides, who will show you the wonders of the underwater world.
For Sorrento we suggest to bring a 5mm or 7mm suit in the summer time. For April, May and June a dry suit is suggested.
The water temperature is normally cold especially in April and May.
The visibility is reduced throughout April and May, becoming good in June and the best visibility is during July, August and September.
There are no currents except in some sites like P.Campanella, P. Carena and other sites on the extremities of the island (Massa Lubrense).

In Sorrento TGI Diving arranges single dives, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, and we also offer full day packages.
The maximum dive time is 1 hour.
No it doesn't. When possible we divide the divers according to their dive experience. When organising the diving buddies we check the logbooks and we try to match divers with the same type of licence, similar experience and numbers of dives.
Once we check your competence and your familiarity in the water through a dive with our staff, you can dive without our supervision.
The boat trips are not available on-line, only on location.
