Pearls in The Indian Ocean: The Maldives
The Maldives are located 900 km south-west of the Indian sub-continent. It consists of 2000 islands grouped in 12 main atolls. You experience your first view of the Maldives before landing in Hulule airport, with the images of white pearls surrounded by all the emotions of various shades of blue sea. The islands and the atolls pass right below the wings of your aircraft. The sea plays a predominant role in the Maldives, with its astounding variety of colorful forms of life. These islands sit on one of the most beautiful and breathtaking reefs of our planet, with overhangs covered by corals of all colors and shapes and caves carved in the reef walls.



Halaveli Island:
This is definitely one of the best islands of the atoll; here you can find beautiful white beaches and wonderful local plant life. Its position in the Ari Atoll is excellent, with access to some of the best dives in the Maldives. Some of the dive locations close to Halaveli have been included in the lists of the World Best Dive Sites. The village comprises of 56 bungalows in a unique natural setting; they blend in with the spectacular vegetation of the island. Each one has a sea view and has been constructed in the traditional style with modern facilities. The resort also includes: restaurant, bar, theatre and boutique. The small medical centre has a resident doctor on duty. An international chef runs the kitchen and a wide variety of continental and local-cuisine dishes are served.
